   About Us

As you know, disasters know no boundaries. In an effort to help everyone get closer connected, the Clermont County Citizen Corps provides this web site for the purpose of providing a common networking channel for Tristate disaster volunteer organizations. We provide two basic functions:

1.   To help announce your organization's drills, exercises, training and meetings we produce an e-newsletter in the form of an email sent to the point contact for your organization. There is a downloadable hardcopy (PDF format) in the newsletter section on this web site. You can decide to whom you wish to distribute the DVN Newsletter, your membership , others, etc. Re-distribution is solely up to you.

At this time, we will not be hosting an email sign-up for the general public, although the public is welcome to view and receive the newsletter.

2.  Secondly, we maintain an online directory of volunteer organizations involved with disaster preparation or disaster response.

We encourage the sharing and networking of preparedness and response information among the groups and the public. Specifically, we want to support an effort to give the volunteer groups more exposure to each other and to the general disaster response professionals.

We are not seeking organizations that are imbedded inside a fire department or police department. If some of those department members have an outside volunteer group, then, of course, we very much want to contact them.  We want to concentrate on the less known groups.

We are funded by the Clermont County Citizen Corps Council.

Guidelines for inclusion in the listing are:

  1. the organization be a Nonprofit Volunteer Organization

  2. involved with Disaster Preparedness or Disaster Response

  3. not a primary first responder

  4. nonpolitical, nonsectarian

  5. and in one of the following counties: (we may add additional counties in the future)

Southwestern Ohio: Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Highland, Warren

Southeastern Indiana: Dearborn

Northern Kentucky: Boone, Campbell, Kenton
