Preparedness & Response to Agricultural Terrorism

Cincinnati-Hamilton County Homeland Security and the Warren County Sheriff’s Department is sponsoring the training courses, “Preparedness and Response to Agricultural Terrorism” . The course is scheduled for September 2-4, 2008 from 0800 to 1700 hours. The course is being delivered by Louisiana State University, National Center for Biological Research and Training Academy of Counter-Terrorist Education.

The “Preparedness and Response to Agricultural Terrorism” training course will be conducted at the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, 550 Justice Drive, Lebanon, Ohio 45036. There is no cost to attend. Attached are informational flyers and registration forms for your use.

BOTH COURSES ARE FULLY FUNDED BY A TRAINING GRANT PROVIDED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY.

DEADLINE TO REGISTER FOR THE COURSE IS AUGUST 18, 2008.

September 9-10 Prevention & Deterrence of Terrorist Acts by Law Enforcement   (Train-the-Trainer)

This two-day course is scheduled for September 9-10 and will be conducted at the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Patrol Academy, 11021 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. Just so you know, the actual train-the-trainer segment is about 90 minutes long; and you will not have to actually get up and do a presentation. The majority of the training is the dissemination of up-to-date information regarding the domestic and international terrorist threat.

The training will be conducted by the Louisiana State University, National Center for Biological research and Training Academy of Counter-Terrorist Education. Maximum number of attendees is 30

 Registration deadline is August 8.

September 16-18 WMD Incident Management/Unified Command

This course is scheduled for September 16-18, 2008 from 0800 to 1700 hours each day. The course is being delivered by the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), a member of the Texas A&M System.

The training will be conducted at the Regional Operation Center, 2000 Radcliff Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45204. There is no cost to attend this training course. Attached is an information flyer and registration form for your use.

Cincinnati-Hamilton County Homeland Security and The University of Cincinnati – Clermont College is sponsoring the training courses, “Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings (IRTB)” and “Prevention & Response to Suicide Bombing Incidents (PRSBI)”. The courses are scheduled for October 24, 2008. Training hours will be from 0800 to 1200 hours for the IRTB course and 1300 to 1700 hours for the PRSBI course. The courses are being delivered by Professor Ed Bridgeman, Adjunct Instructor for New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology.

The training will be conducted at Clermont College, 4200 Clermont College Drive, Batavia, Ohio 45103. There is no cost to attend these courses. Attached is an informational flyer and registration form for your use.
